Summary of Communication
In preparation for renewal of the "The Work Number" contract with Equifax under the terms of the current agreement, HFS employees set up a meeting with the account manager, Sarah Detweiller. Gaffney identified that the contract was due for one of the semi-automatic renewals allowed under the current contract in October and that it was time to begin the process of getting drafts for the extensions and signed agreements. Detweiller said that Equifax had some discussion about not renewing at the current volume of unlimited usage for a set price and that Equifax management wanted to establish a limit on the number of matches with a cost for overusage. Spears noted that changes in the contract would have to go to the HFS Procurement team and that the two HFS employees were not authorized to approve any changes to the contract and that some cahnges might require the contract to have to be re-bid. Detweiller responded that Equifax would review the current contract and present a propsal. Spears replied that when it was received it would be forwarded and reviewed by HFS procurement.
