Summary of Communication
Recd an email from a vendor, "Good Morning Martha, I hope you had a good weekend! Yup, I want to cash in on on of my 2025 questions. (1 of 4 I believe, the letter you sent me shouldn't count. lol) So, I understand everything about the paragraph listed below. But, lets say I am awarded a contract from IDNR. The "scope of work" calls for a butt load of concrete. Can I request from IDNR their tax exempt number and submit that to the concrete business to avoid paying sales tax on that concrete? I know I might be reaching a bit, but if the State is the end user of the concrete, I can see where this might work. Can you, or someone in the know, give me a definitive answer on this? I am hearing two different things and want to clarify before moving forward on a bid. Thank you for your time! Shaun Shawnee Solutions IPG # 622192 " I responded, "HI Shaun, I send out the CMS Tax Exempt form to vendors all the time. There should be no reason DNR cannot provide you their Tax Exempt form. Hope that helps." Shaun responded, "Good Morning! Heck ya that helps. Thanks Martha."
